"Safe" means different things: safe for your devices, safe for your money and safe for your personal data. Here is what to watch for.
Device safety
- Install player apps from the official app store whenever possible.
- When you must sideload an app on a Firestick, download it only from the developer’s official source.
- Never install "free channel" apps from random links. They are the most common source of malware.
Payment safety
- Pay through a secure payment link, never by sharing your full card details in a chat.
- Be wary of providers that only accept gift cards.
- Very cheap "lifetime" deals are a classic scam.
Privacy
- A good provider only needs a way to contact you, not your ID or home address.
- Keep your login private and do not share it publicly.
